kids, compassion, and a whole ‘lotta slime

Nick Helps was built as a hub where kids and families could find resources for navigating real-world issues. It brought together guides, hands-on activities, and videos designed to help kids and teens. They could learn about tough topics spanning bullying, prejudice, and global conflict in a way that felt approachable, not taboo.

ThE ChallEngE

Nick Helps was built as a hub where kids and families could find crafts, recipes, and resources for navigating real-world issues. It brought together guides, hands-on activities, and videos designed to help young audiences talk through topics like bullying, prejudice, and global conflict in a way that felt approachable and constructive.

My RoLE

I designed within the Nick Helps brand identity, leaning into a bold color palette and playful shape system that echoed crafting materials like cut paper, layered textures, and taped edges. The layouts were structured but energetic, with visual cues that felt handmade and inviting. Every decision supported the idea that this was a space to explore and create, not just scroll.

Additionally, I created worksheets, recipe cards, and crafting instructions for dozens of different education activities.

The ReSult

Nick Helps became a destination that felt both fun and supportive. Families could cook, build, watch, and talk all in one place. The experience stayed true to Nickelodeon’s voice while giving meaningful topics a space that felt bright, approachable, and full of possibility.
